Sustaining The Healthcare Workforce 2012-2015

The Healthcare Industry, like never before, is seeing staggering challenges. As our population ages and our workforce seems to face trying times, the healthcare sector is one industry in which our local Board continues to remain focused upon. The newly released, ‘State of the Healthcare Workforce Report for 2012’ shows the data needed to continue the Board’s endeavors to work with the Healthcare Industry and the healthcare training providers in ensuring the correct balance of supply and demand for workers in our region.

Special appreciation is given to New River Community and Technical College’s, Lisa Hatcher, for her dedication and support in working with Region 1’s Healthcare Consortium. She has worked many hours to ensure the most accurate data and up-to-date information is provided by the private employers and training providers.

The Board will continue to address the daunting challenges for the long run of our Healthcare Industry as well as all other sectors within our reach.
